I went to look at pups when they were five weeks old. All of them (6) in the litter were very quiet and were not very active. Barney was staggering around, and loved to be petted, and at five weeks old he growled at me. After he did that I knew he was for me, he had attitude! I collected him at 8wks, and he lay beside me on the passenger seat as I drove him home, not a peep or whimper out of him, he settled in straight away, munching a good feed when he first got home. He was flying from then. House-breaking was tough because he did not like the cold, I would walk him round the garden for 30mins and he would not produce, as soon as he got inside, hey presto, pee all over the floor. He took about 8mths until he was fully house-broken! Thats a lot of cleaning up!

Barney is a real mummy's boy, he is protective of me, but is so good natured, friendly and loving. He loves nothing more than a good walk and chasing other dogs, size/breed it does not matter he will befriend any dog. Barney did well at obedience classes, getting the best in class award, and did a few classes at agility that he picked up straight away, and thrived at.

Barney is a wee character all of his own, he broke the mould when he was made, and in a good way.

He is a much loved companion, I could not be with out him.
